Alfie Jay, beautiful blue eyed boy only five months old when septaceimia stole him from us. He touched so many lives and hearts in his short life, like an angel sent to bring us closer and make us joyful. Such a happy chappy he was and he fought till the end but after fighting for 9 hours meningitis got the better. He was woke at 5am for a feed and he was fine, by 8am he had the purple rash, within minutes the ambulance had arrived and he was being rushed to hospital. By dinnertime he was being transferred to the RVI. Parents were told he might not make the journey. But he did, but after 20 minutes of arriving at the Royal Victoria Infirmary he passed. So this tribute fund is to raise awareness of meningitis and tell people how proud we are of Alfie.
